Tomahawk is a greenfield project located 25km southeast of the Cairn Hill mine.

Cu-River Mining has obtained encouraging results from initial test work on magnetite samples from the Tomahawk prospect. Drilling has indicated a presence of high grade, coarse magnetite ore with low levels of impurities.

The deposit has minimal overburden and a shallow weathering profile. An exploration target of 600 million tonnes has been set, with Cu-River to continue exploration immediately following the development of the Snaefell project.

Bringing Tomahawk online is integral to Cu-River achieving its production target of 15 million tonne per annum of high-grade, low impurity magnetite concentrate.
